Leasowes High School, part of Invictus Education Trust, is proud to celebrate a well-deserved set of GCSE results that reflect the determination, talent and resilience of our students. This year has brought both success and deep sadness with the passing of a much‑loved member of our school community. Despite this profound loss, our students have shown exceptional strength, supporting one another and continuing to strive for excellence. These results are a testament to their hard work, the unwavering commitment of our staff, and the steadfast support of parents and carers. As Headteacher, I am immensely proud of our students and the unity, compassion and pride that define Leasowes High School.

Our Headline Results:
The school is celebrating a strong set of GCSE results, with the majority of students achieving five or more GCSEs at Grade 4 or above.
There was particularly positive performance in the core subjects, with a strong proportion of students achieving a standard pass in both English and Mathematics, while a significant number secured a strong Grade 5 or above in both subjects. Almost two-thirds of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics, with Mathematics continuing to demonstrate year-on-year improvement over the past three years.
The school also saw strong attainment at the higher grades, with a significant proportion of students achieving Grade 7–9 results, including a number securing three or more GCSEs at these grades.
There were some outstanding individual subject performances across the curriculum. Biology, Chemistry and Physics achieved an exceptional 100% pass rate, while Vocational Music, French and Musical Theatre also recorded very strong pass rates. GCSE PE, Design Technology, Religious Education and Art also achieved strong outcomes.
These results reflect the hard work, resilience and commitment of students and staff and demonstrate the continued progress being made across the school. The breadth of strong subject outcomes is particularly encouraging, highlighting the opportunities available to students across both academic and vocational pathways.

As headteacher, I want to recognise all of Ethan’s friends, but in particular Lily, Tom and Joel whose GCSE success today reflects remarkable strength and unity. In a year marked by deep loss, they have supported one another, worked with quiet determination, and honoured Ethan’s memory through their achievements. Their results show not only hard work, but the compassion of our staff, the encouragement of families, and the resilience of our Leasowes community."
