Leasowes High School, part of the Invictus Education Trust, is celebrating the amazing achievements of its students on GCSE and vocational course results day.
Students did the school proud by making great strides in attainment and progress across all courses. Top student, Joshan, led the way, achieving five grade 9s, one grade 8 and three grade 7s.

Tom: Three grade 9s, one grade 8, three grade 7s and two grade 6s
Summer: Three grade 9s, one grade 8, three grade 7s, two grade 6s
Matthew: Two grade 9s, two grade 8s, one grade 7, two grade 6s and two grade 5s
William: Four grade 8s, five grade 7s – despite a collapsed lung requiring hospitalisation!
Emma: One grade 9, one grade 8, four grade 7s, three grade 6s
Headteacher, Chris Papadopoullos, said of the results: “I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to the class of 2023 on their results for GCSEs and vocational courses.
“I am proud of the resilience and hard work of these young people who rose to the challenge of learning in unprecedented times and I wish them all every success for the future.”
