Our Year 11 students were treated to another unique experience today thanks to a collaborative initiative between the school and Dudley Connexions ‘Education Business Partnership’. (Twitter Click Here)
The event formed part of our careers programme and saw all year 11 students, including students from Greenhill Leasowes Aternative Provision, complete applications, attend interviews and receive feedback on the interviews from local employers and mentors.
A huge thank you must go to must go to Mrs Atherton, Mrs Harper and Ms Thomas who organised the day and to Lorna Evans and Wendy Lowe who run the Education Business Partnership at Dudley Connexions.
The mock interviews gave our students an incredible insight to what the interview process for them will be like, a chance to try interview techniques in a controlled environment whilst receiving meaningful feedback from the kind of people they will need to impress in the future.
Our students shone throughout, Lorna and Wendy offering high praise for professionalism and manner.
Our students also valued the event, Louise T of 11KI added: “The mock interview seemed very real. The interviewers were very kind and seemed to care a lot about how I am doing at school and what I want to do in future. The interview was short, but it helped me understand what interviews in the future will be like”
We would like to thank Wendy and Lorna for visiting us today, an experience we highly recommend!
